Why monthly updates matter

A re-scan is more than the same report again

Every month, Varia reviews newly published literature and adds, updates, or retires variant interpretations across all 12 domains. A re-scan against the updated database can return findings that did not exist in your original report. A variant you carry might be newly classified as actionable, or a previous interpretation might be refined or retired based on new evidence.

The model reflects this. Your scan reads your DNA against today's database for free, the existence-preview confirms what was found across your 12 domains, and rescans are always free. Unlocking the interactive dashboard and Varia Genomic Brief is $29 (or $12 for Early Adopters who engaged during the launch period); the WhatsNew panel inside the dashboard then shows what variants have been added to the Varia database since your last scan, so unlock-holders always know when a re-read could surface new findings.

All scans run locally in your browser. Re-running uses the updated client-side database against your DNA file; we still never see your DNA.

What Varia reports today

This is the current accepted list: variants with peer-reviewed evidence strong enough for Varia to scan your file and report a finding. The roster is generated from the same database the scanner uses, so it always matches what a scan can return.

The catalog grows as the science does. Variants we track but do not yet report sit in the Pipeline / Watchlist below, with a plain explanation of why they are held.
